Express Entry Candidates Scoring 400 Get NOI Letters From Alberta

Alberta has issued Notification of Interest letters to 148 candidates in a new provincial Express Entry draw.

The November 9 Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program draw saw candidates with Comprehensive Ranking System scores as low as 400 receive NOI letters.

Important requirements for the Alberta Express Entry stream are that candidates have stated an interest in immigrating permanently to the province, and are working in an occupation that supports Alberta’s economic development and diversification.

Alberta has now conducted 28 draws tapping the federal Express Entry pool during 2019.

As of November 19, 2019, Alberta has issued 5,564 of its 6,000 federal government nomination allocation.

The province also has 2,200 applications awaiting assessment.

Colin Singer is an international acclaimed Canadian immigration lawyer and founder of immigration.ca featured on Wikipedia. Colin Singer is also founding director of the Canadian Citizenship & Immigration Resource Center (CCIRC) Inc. He served as an Associate Editor of ‘Immigration Law Reporter’, the pre-eminent immigration law publication in Canada.
