Manitoba immigration targeted four provincial streams in the latest draw through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program.
The June 20 draw saw Letters of Advice to Apply issued to 450 candidates, 133 of them with a profile in the federal Express Entry pool.
Skilled Workers Overseas candidates received the majority of LAAs, including 288 through the Human Capital Pathway, with the lowest ranked candidate scoring 519.
These candidates had to meet the following requirements:
Either
- Have a valid Express Entry ID and job seeker validation code, with at least six months of recent experience in an occupation on Manitoba’s In-demand Occupations list
Or
- Have a close relative in Manitoba or past education or work experience in the province.
- Have 6 months of recent experience in a Manitoba in-demand occupation.
- Meet minimum language requirements.
Candidates part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative, also part of the SWO stream, received 35 LAAs with the lowest ranked candidate scoring 704.
An SRI is when candidates are invited to fulfill a specific labour market need.

The next batch of 101 LAAs went to Skilled Workers In Manitoba candidates, with the lowest ranked candidate scoring 475.
Lastly, 26 LAAs went to International Education Stream candidates.
This was the 68th draw in the history of the MPNP.
