Minimum CRS Score Drops To 350 In New Alberta Express Entry Draw

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System score dropped to 350 in the latest draw through the Alberta Express Entry stream.

The January 9 draw saw 150 candidates receive Notification of Interest letters for the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program stream.

Important requirements are that candidates have stated an interest in immigrating permanently to the province, and are working in an occupation that supports Alberta’s economic development and diversification.

Alberta is yet to receive its federal government nomination allocation for 2020. It currently has 2,175 applications awaiting assessment for eligibility.

Alberta conducted 31 draws tapping the federal Express Entry pool during 2019, issuing 7,034 Notification of Interest Letters.

The province reached its federal government allocation of 6,000 nominations in December.

Colin Singer is also founding director of the Canadian Citizenship & Immigration Resource Center (CCIRC) Inc.
