Ontario Issues 2,765 Invitations In Multiple PNP Draws

Canada immigration news: A swathe of draws that have taken place through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program saw the province issue 2,765 invitations or notifications of interest. 

The province has conducted draws through seven streams dating back to May 26, with some of the details delayed due to a publishing embargo during the recent provincial election.

Details of all the draws are below:

Stream 1: Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker

Ontario issued two invitations in a June 29 draw through the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream. Candidates needed to have created profiles between June 29, 2021 and June 29, 2022 for the draw, which was targeted at Economic Mobility Pathways Project candidates.

Stream 2: Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream

Ontario issued 870 invitations in three draws through the Employer Job Offer: International Student Stream.

A June 1 draw saw 217 invitations issued targeted at skilled trades occupations, with candidates scoring 62 and above. The draw was targeted at the following occupations:

  • NOC 2232 – Mechanical engineering technologists and technicians
  • NOC 2233 – Industrial engineering and manufacturing technologists and technicians
  • NOC 2242 – Electronic service technicians (household and business equipment)
  • NOC 2243 – Industrial instrument technicians and mechanics
  • NOC 2253 – Drafting technologists and technicians
  • NOC 2282 – User support technicians
  • NOC 2283 – Information systems testing technicians
  • NOC 7201 – Contractors and supervisors, machining, metal forming, shaping and erecting trades and related occupations
  • NOC 7205 – Contractors and supervisors, other construction trades, installers, repairers and servicers
  • NOC 7233 – Sheet metal workers
  • NOC 7242 – Industrial electricians
  • NOC 7271 – Carpenters
  • NOC 7282 – Concrete finishers
  • NOC 7284 – Plasterers, drywall installers and finishers and lathers
  • NOC 7293 – Insulators
  • NOC 7301 – Contractors and supervisors, mechanic trades
  • NOC 7303 – Supervisors, printing and related occupations
  • NOC 7305 – Supervisors, motor transport and other ground transit operators
  • NOC 7311 – Construction millwrights and industrial mechanics
  • NOC 7313 – Refrigeration and air conditioning mechanics
  • NOC 7314 – Railway carmen/women
  • NOC 7315 – Aircraft mechanics and aircraft inspectors
  • NOC 7321 – Automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics and mechanical repairers
  • NOC 7371 – Crane operators
  • NOC 9241 – Power engineers and power systems operators

A general draw the same day saw 229 invitations issued to candidates scoring 79 and above.

On June 29, a further 424 invitations were issued in another general draw, with candidates scoring 74 and above.

  • NOC 2172 – Database Analysts and Data Administrators
  • NOC 4031 – Secondary school teachers
