Ontario Tech Draw: 703 NOIs Issued at Express Entry Candidates With Scores as Low as 421

Ontario immigration has issued Notifications of Interest to 703 Express Entry candidates in a new targeted Tech Draw through its Human Capital Priorities stream.

The May 13 draw featured a Comprehensive Ranking System score range of 421 to 451, with candidates required to have submitted Express Entry profiles between May 13, 2019 to May 13, 2020.

Tech Draws fall under the Human Capital Priorities stream of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program, focusing on six specific technology occupations (listed below).

This was the fourth Tech Draw since Ontario announced the initiative in 2019.

Ontario announced it would be starting Tech Draws in July 2019, focused on six specific technology occupations:

  1. Software engineers and designers (NOC 2173)
  2. Computer programmers and interactive media developers (NOC 2174)
  3. Computer engineers (NOC 2147)
  4. Web designers and developers (NOC 2175)
  5. Database analysts and data administrators (NOC 2172)
  6. Computer and information systems managers (NOC 0213)

Colin Singer is also founding director of the Canadian Citizenship & Immigration Resource Center (CCIRC) Inc. He previously served as an executive member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Quebec and National Immigration Law Sections and is currently a member of the Canadian Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. He is frequently recognized as a recommended authority at national conferences sponsored by government and non-government organizations on matters affecting Canada’s immigration and human resource industries. Since 2009, Colin has been a Governor of the Quebec Bar Foundation a non-profit organization committed to the advancement of the profession, and became a lifetime member in 2018.
