A coveted provincial nomination effectively guarantees selection under the Canada Express Entry System, worth 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.
British Columbia immigration recently announced it will stop publishing scores for guaranteed Invitations to Apply through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program.
Instead, the province says candidates can see the scores required by viewing the draw details published each week since 2016 when it launched its version of Expression of interest immigration.
Previously, the province had published a list of scores that would guarantee an ITA through one of five streams:
A BC PNP statement said: “In the past, a guaranteed invitation score for each category was posted (subject to change) to illustrate the minimum points that an individual would need to be guaranteed an invitation to apply.
“The points were based on a sampling of pre-2016 BC PNP applications.
“Since 2016, we have posted the scores for each draw. Applicants are able to view current and historical invitation to apply scores on our website which we will continue to update.”
